The Baccalaureate Scholarship (BaS) is one of three pathways to high-demand careers in Washington State, offered by WSOS. It provides up to $22,500 in scholarship funding and access to career-launching support services for eligible students pursuing high-demand STEM and healthcare majors. The funding can cover costs beyond tuition, including housing, transportation, food, and more. The scholarship is applicable at any eligible public or private college or university in Washington State.
STEM and healthcare majors. Here are some examples of eligible fields:
Applicants must be Washington State residents, meet specific income limitations, and plan to enroll in an eligible STEM or healthcare major at an eligible college or university in Washington State. They must not have already earned a bachelor’s degree and must meet other academic and residency requirements.
Applicants are selected based on factors including financial need, commitment to a STEM or healthcare field, and academic achievement. The WSOS Board of Directors determines the selection criteria.

The number of awards varies each year.
