Tell Me About The Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Awards:

In line with the Ekiti State Government’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and reducing the financial challenges of bright students, the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji will award scholarships to eligible students who are currently in their second year or higher, studying in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

Who can Apply for The Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Awards?

Also, to be eligible for the Ekiti State Government Scholarship Award, applicants must:

  • Be in their 2nd year or higher in their current course.
  • Have a WASSCE/NECO certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in one sitting.
  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 4.0 for university students, 3.50 for polytechnic students, and 3.50 for NCE students.
  • For Master’s Degree candidates, a 2nd Class Upper Division at the undergraduate level is required.
  • PhD applicants must have a distinction in their Master’s Degree and provide a recommendation letter from their Head of Department.
  • Students with physical challenges in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and schools of nursing/midwifery qualify for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
  • Part-time and Sandwich students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Applicants are also to submit the following documents:

  • The current school fees payment receipts
  • Institution’s identification card
  • Letter of identification from Head of Department
  • Certified transcript by the Registrar of the Institution.
  • Certified copies of credentials
  • Certificate of Local Government origin.
  • 3 Years Tax Payment Certificate and Development Levy, receipts of applicant’s parent.

Prospective applicants should submit the following documents:

  • Admission Letter
  • WAEC or NECO result
  • Birth certificate or declaration of age
  • NIN certification
  • Letter of recommendation from the school
