The Open Doors International Olympiad offers winners the opportunity to enroll for free in a master’s or postgraduate program at their chosen university or, if on the postdoctoral track, to be employed as a researcher in a suggested research project.

Who can Apply for the Open Doors International Olympiad Scholarship?
- Master’s Track: Participants must have a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree or be completing it in 2025.
- Doctoral Track: Participants need a specialist’s or a master’s degree or be completing it in 2025.
- Postdoctoral Track: Participants must have a PhD or a candidate/doctor of science degree obtained no later than September 16, 2024.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Master’s and Doctoral Tracks: Selection involves two rounds: a portfolio competition and proctored online tests. The Doctoral track also includes interviews with potential research supervisors.
- Postdoctoral Track: Selection includes a portfolio competition, a video presentation, and interviews with research project leaders.
Which Countries Are Eligible?
Applicants from any country, compatriots permanently residing abroad, and stateless persons are eligible.
Where will the Award be Taken?
At participating universities in Russia, in Russian or English.

How to Apply for the Open Doors International Olympiad Scholarship:
- Registration for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral tracks is open from September 5, 2024, to November 20, 2024.
- Registration for the postdoctoral track is open from September 16, 2024, to December 10, 2024.
- Complete the required preliminary test in each selected subject area.
Note that previous accounts have been deleted, so if you are a last year’s participant wishing to try again, you’ll have to register again and fill out the portfolio anew.
