Who can Apply for the ETH Zurich Scholarships ?

- Students already enrolled in a Master’s program at ETH Zurich or those who hold a Master’s degree are not eligible.
How are Applicants Selected?
- The selection process is conducted by the Admissions Committees of the respective Master’s programs and the final decision is made by the Rector of ETH Zurich. Selection may include a phone or video interview in February.

How Many Awards?
- Approximately 60 ESOP scholarships are awarded annually, depending on available funding.
What is the Benefit of the Award?
- The scholarship covers CHF 12,000 per semester for living and study expenses, along with a full tuition fee waiver.
How Long Will the Award Last?
- The scholarship is granted for the full duration of the Master’s program, which typically lasts three to four semesters.
How to Apply for the ETH Zurich Scholarships :
- Applications are submitted via the eApply system as part of the online Master’s application. A pre-proposal for the Master’s thesis must also be submitted, adhering to scientific citation practices. If not required by your program, you must provide two references from professors who will submit reference letters.
