The 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge aims to harness the power of technology and innovation to address critical infrastructure challenges in Nigeria. Participants will collaborate in teams to create innovative digital maps of one Nigerian state, highlighting critical infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, roads, and utilities. These maps will provide insights that can drive sustainable development across Nigeria.

Which Fields are Eligible?
The areas of mapping include:
- Healthcare: Hospitals, clinics, and health centres.
- Education: Schools, colleges, and universities.
- Transportation: Roads, bridges, public transit.
- Utilities: Water supply, electricity, and waste management.
- Public Services: Police stations, fire stations, post offices, government offices.

Who can Apply For The NITDA 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge?
Also, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Nigerian Citizenship: All participants must be Nigerian citizens and possess a valid means of identification (National ID, Voter’s Card, International Passport, or Driver’s License).
- Age Limit: Participants must be 18 years old or older at the time of registration.
- Team Composition: Teams must consist of 2 to 5 members with a mix of technical and non-technical backgrounds. Individual entries are not accepted.
- State Representation: Each team must represent a specific Nigerian state and should have a good understanding of that state through residency, work, or academic study.
- Data Sources: Participants should use open data sources or gather data ethically. Use of proprietary or restricted data is not allowed unless permissions are obtained.
- Compliance with Rules: Participants must follow all Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge rules, including ethical data sourcing and intellectual property rights.
