This program aims to provide opportunities for youth on the move who face barriers to accessing traditional internships or entry-level positions at UNICEF. It builds on the success of a previous fellowship pilot program and aims to create a more inclusive environment for talented and passionate youth.
The program is open to a variety of roles across multiple fields, including Education, Humanitarian Information Management, Child Protection, Adolescent and Partnership Development, Emergency Coordination, and others, depending on the country.

Refugees, asylum seekers, IDPs, and migrants aged 20 to 32 who face barriers in accessing learning-to-earning pathways due to their migration or displacement experience. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must demonstrate their status as a refugee, asylum seeker, IDP, or migrant. University degrees are not required, and the program specifically targets those who have not had access to formal education or employment due to their migratory status.
The program is open to youth based in various countries, with advertised positions in Cambodia, Côte d’Ivoire, Czechia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kenya, Mozambique, Poland, Somalia, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam.
Selected candidates will be placed in UNICEF country offices around the world, depending on the job role.
The number of positions varies depending on the advertised roles in each country.
Participants will receive a 12-month paid volunteer placement, gaining experience working with UNICEF, building professional skills, and overcoming barriers to formal employment opportunities.
The program lasts for 12 months.
