The Lindau Meetings are outstanding and internationally renowned conferences, where Laureates and a few hundred of the most promising Young Scientists from all over the world meet for scientific and personal exchange.
Alternating between the disciplines Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, and additionally Economic Sciences every third year, the Lindau Meetings are a unique opportunity to educate, inspire, and connect beyond cultural and political boundaries for the leading scientists of tomorrow. Apart from taking the one-time chance to participate in a Lindau Meeting, these Young Scientists become part of a special community — a network of excellence. As Lindau Alumni, former participants stay connected with each other and become ambassadors of the scientific dialogue fostered by the Lindau Meetings.
Via an Academic Partner:
The first step is to find out if there is an Academic Partner that might nominate you for participation in the upcoming meeting and to contact the respective contact person (nomination period: 19 September – 24 October)
Open Application:
If there is no Academic Partner available, Young Scientists must use the Open Application (application period: 11 September – 16 October)

Conference
We welcome applications from:
(1) Undergraduate students, who
− exhibit a solid knowledge in Chemistry and related disciplines,
− demonstrate independent research experience.
(2) Master and doctoral students, who
− have performed excellent research, documented, for example, by publications, conference presentations, grants or other academic awards.
(3) Postdoctoral scientists, who
− are at an early career stage (i.e. up to 5 years of postdoctoral experience) and do not yet hold an independent group leader position,
− have presented their work at international scientific meetings, preferably as (invited) speakers,
− have published excellent research, in refereed journals as first, last, and/or corresponding author.
All applicants shall
− demonstrate excellence in their principal field of studies,
− receive very strong support of their application by academic advisors and/or internationally renowned scientists, who know the applicant well (two detailed recommendation letters are required),
− have engaged in extracurricular activities,
− be fluent in English,
− not have participated in a previous Lindau Meeting,
− commit themselves to being present in Lindau for the full duration of the meeting,
− be prepared to actively participate in discussions with Laureates and Young Scientists,
− submit the completed online application form before the deadline in November 2024, including a comprehensive academic CV and recommendation letters (please note that incomplete applications cannot be taken into consideration)

Young Scientists studying or performing research in a country where the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings have one or more Academic Partners must contact the respective Academic Partner and find out how to apply to be nominated for a Lindau Meeting.

Interested Young Scientists can request to be nominated by an Academic Partner; however, it is the sole decision of the Academic Partner to choose suitable candidates for nomination amongst the received applications.
