The Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, in cooperation with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the African Union, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), organizes the United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa. The course will take place in person at the ECA facilities in Addis Ababa from 20 February to 14 March 2025, conducted in English. It will accommodate up to 30 participants, including a limited number of spots for self-funded participants.

When selecting participants for the Regional Courses, organizers consider candidates’ qualifications, the scope of their professional duties, the relevance of the training to their roles, and gender balance. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
The United Nations does not charge a fee at any stage of the application and selection process. The United Nations does not concern itself with information on candidates’ bank accounts.
