What Are the Mastercard Foundation Scholarships
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) focuses on young Africans who are intellectually gifted but economically underprivileged, with the hope that they will help improve the continent.
Recipients of the Mastercard Scholarship are expected to make a difference in their local community by applying the information, abilities, attitudes, and values that their leadership experience has demonstrated.
It covers the complete cost of tuition, housing, airfare, living expenses, food, books, laptops, and all other study-related costs.

#2. UBC MasterCard Scholarship in Canada (University of British Columbia)
As one of the first four Canadian universities to be accepted into The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, the University of British Columbia is taking part in a $500 million worldwide education project with 14 other universities.
There will be 163 Mastercard Foundation Scholars overall throughout the University of British Columbia’s ten-year program, comprising 77 undergraduate and 35 graduate students.

#8. 2025 France Sciences Po MasterCard Scholarships for Africans
As of 2017, Sciences Po is a member of the three European universities that work with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program: the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and Edinburgh.
To prepare a new generation of change-makers in their native countries, the alliance has now allowed 138 students from Sub-Saharan Africa to enroll in a degree program in the social sciences at Sciences Po.
