The Ministry of Interior in Qatar does not require applicants for work visas to show proof of their English language proficiency; thus, taking the IELTS exam will no longer be necessary to apply for a work visa to Qatar.

  1. You have to apply for jobs in the private or public sector in Qatar.
  2. Accept the job offer and give your company the paperwork you need to apply for a work visa or residency permit.
  3. Your employer will next file your request for a work visa or residence permit with Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, supplying their trade license in addition to the necessary paperwork for an immigration or representative card.
  4. Next, the employer will apply for the work visa of their employee (the application will be in Arabic, so your employer will be able to do so).
  5. The Ministry of Labor in Qatar will examine, evaluate, and mark your application for the issuance of a work visa for Qatar after your employer has filed it.
  6. Once you have your work visa, you can travel to Qatar. However, you must obtain a residence permit in Qatar within 7 days of arriving. To do this, you must provide your employer with the necessary paperwork so they can submit your application for approval to the Ministry of Labor.
