Tell Me About The Erasmus Mundus PROMISE Scholarship 2025:

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Sustainable Mineral and Metal Processing Engineering-EMJM PROMISE is being established due to the awareness of increasing demands in the quantity and diversity of minerals, metals, and materials as we move towards renewable energy, electromobility, digital communication and other clean-energy technologies.

PROMISE is the consortium involving the cooperation between four leading universities in mineral processing and mining engineering: University of Oulu from Finland (UOULU), University of Zagreb from Croatia (UNIZG), Montanuniversität Leoben from Austria (MUL) and Universidad Federico Santa Maria from Chile (USM).

Who can Apply For The Erasmus Mundus PROMISE Scholarship 2025?

Also, applicants are to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must hold a minimum BSc degree in fields such as mineral processing, metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, materials and mineral resources engineering, earth resources engineering, raw materials and process engineering, mining engineering, geological engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Transcripts must include compulsory subjects in mathematics and either chemistry or physics; failure to include these subjects will result in disqualification from the evaluation process.
  • Candidates must provide an English language proficiency certificate, regardless of whether their education was conducted in English; only certificates from the exhaustive list provided will be accepted.

Applicants are also to submit the following:

  • Certified original copy of the university bachelor’s degree diploma, translated into English.
  • Certified copy of Transcript of Records, translated to English, along with original documents showing course details, marks, and hours/credits for each subject.
  • Proof of nationality, such as a copy of a passport or ID card.
  • A motivation letter (maximum one page) explaining why the applicant should be selected.
  • Two recommendation letters (one compulsory and one optional) were submitted with the application.
  • A scanned certificate of English proficiency, meeting specified requirements.
  • Curriculum vitae in EuroPass format, including a photo on the first page.
