The Fully Funded Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity Fellowship Program offers social-change leaders the opportunity to engage in transformative learning and collaboration in London. Designed for individuals dedicated to tackling inequality, the program provides access to a network of global leaders, resources, and innovative training. Fellows can choose between Residential and Non-Residential tracks, both of which are fully funded and include support for tuition, living expenses, and project implementation. The program aims to empower diverse leaders, including policymakers, researchers, activists, and artists, to create lasting change in their communities and beyond.

Who can Apply For The Fully Funded Atlantic Fellows Social and Economic Equity Fellowship Program?

Additionally, applicants must take note of the following criteria:

• Candidates who live in the Global South. (This will not be considered as the only factor.)
• Candidates from marginalized or underrepresented groups, such as Black, Latinx/o/a/e, Indigenous, Asian, Arab, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, refugee, biracial, multiracial, female-identifying, disabled, LGBTQIA+, etc.
• Candidates who lack the financial resources to participate in programs like the AFSEE Fellowship or who have had limited access to fellowships or scholarships.

Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity Program:

Residential Fellows:

• Must qualify for admission to the LSE MSc in Inequalities and Social Science. This usually requires a 2:1 degree or equivalent. A background in social science or work experience in social policy is a plus but not required.
• Must meet LSE’s standard English language requirements.
• Must have at least 7 years of experience showing leadership, commitment, and care in working toward fairer solutions to inequality.
  • Note: Applicants with a PhD, a recent MSc (within the last three years), or those currently studying for a degree are usually not considered for this track.

Non-Residential Fellows:

• Must meet LSE’s standard English language requirements.
• Must have at least 7 years of experience showing leadership, commitment, and care in working toward fairer solutions to inequality.
  • Note: We welcome non-traditional applicants, including those with a 2:2 degree or higher and those without a degree.

What is the Benefit of the Award?

Furthermore, applicants will benefit the following :

• The Residential track is fully funded, covering all tuition fees for the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science at LSE, travel to and from London at the start and end of the fellowship year, and any visa and immigration-related costs.
• Residential Fellows receive a £23,000 stipend to support living expenses while in London.
• The Non-Residential track is fully funded, covering all costs for the Postgraduate Certificate, travel and accommodation for all modules, and any necessary visa fees.
• Non-Residential Fellows receive up to £10,000 to support the completion of their fellowship project.
• Both tracks offer networking and learning opportunities with global leaders in social change, along with access to seminars and workshops at the International Inequalities Institute at LSE.
