The University of Ottawa offers Entrance and Excellence Scholarships, which are renewable and based on academic averages, for international students from Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, and Bangladesh. Starting in the fall of 2024, students from these countries studying in eligible undergraduate programs in English will also receive significant tuition reductions as part of the University’s commitment to supporting a globally diverse student community.

- be a citizen of any country in Africa or one of the countries listedÂ
- be newly admitted in the fall 2024 term or after, in one of the eligible undergraduate programs offered in English in one of the faculties listed
- not enrol in the French immersion stream
- have a valid study permit when classes start
- be enrolled full-time.

- $40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year)

- Up to $100,000 over 4 years ($25,000 per year)
- $60,000 over 4 years ($15,000 per year)

- Up to $70,000 over 4 years ($17,500 per year)

How to Apply:
- First, the student should apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre.
- Once the application is submitted, the University will generate a Student Number. The student can use this number to log in to the school’s portal, UOZone, to submit their academic results and documents for review.
- After a successful review, the student will receive a conditional admission offer, which may include a scholarship based on their academic average.
