The Student Leaders Program (SLP) is a competitive, yearlong leadership and civic engagement initiative for undergraduate and graduate students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, ages 20-24. The 2025-2026 program will focus on Climate Change and Environmental Protection. Students are placed at U.S. universities for an intensive four-week summer session, where they gain skills in leadership, project management, and civic engagement. They create Community Engagement Plans (CEPs) targeting climate issues in their communities and, after the summer program, receive ongoing support and networking opportunities, including access to the MEPI Alumni network.
