Tell Me About The Thomson Reuters Foundation 2025 (TRF) Mentorship program For Newsrooms:

The Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) Mentoring Program is a six-month initiative designed to help selected newsrooms in Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania integrate technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve editorial and operational functions. As an independent charity linked to Thomson Reuters, TRF aims to support independent journalism and counteract disinformation by providing media development, legal support, and data intelligence. Through this program, selected newsrooms will gain tailored AI strategies, hands-on experience with AI tools, and mentorship from AI and journalism experts. A moderate grant will support AI adoption in line with each newsroom’s unique needs.
