AFRODAD, the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development, is a Pan-African civil society organization dedicated to enhancing public participation and accountability in debt management across Africa. Partnering with 16 African countries, AFRODAD works to prevent heavy indebtedness by advocating for sustainable debt policies and responsible borrowing practices. The 2024 Internship Program offers hands-on experience for individuals interested in Africaโ€™s debt management and public finance, providing training in policy advocacy, economic justice, and organizational management to support sustainable development across the continent.

Who can Apply For The African Forum & Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) 2025 Internship Program?

Also, applicants must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in one of the following fields: administration, human resources, communications, data science, development economics, economics, international development, international relations, law, or statistics.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Confident public speaking abilities.
  • Good understanding of African perspectives on development and finance, with a passion for advancing Africaโ€™s agenda globally.
  • Ability to work from home and remotely (AFRODAD will provide support for remote working).
  • Proficiency in English and French (required for applicants from Cameroon).
  • Desire and commitment to learn and grow professionally.
  • Interns are required to have their own laptops and always have access to stable internet.
