- They should hold a bachelorโs degree or above with at least 3 years of work experience, with preference given to those with relevant professional experience.
- Eligible applicants include government officials (division chief level or above), senior managers, university administrators, or those with relevant experience in international organizations.
How are Applicants Selected?:
- Applications are reviewed by Wuhan University through document assessment and interviews. Those who pass will receive a pre-admission letter and then complete a secondary application through the CSC system, where the final selection is made by expert review.

- Year 1: Full-time study and thesis preparation at Wuhan University.
- Year 2: Thesis writing based on work experiences in the studentโs home country, with a defense held in China.
How to Apply for the Youth of Excellence Scheme (YES) Scholarship:
1) Applicants should log on to Wuhan University’s Online Application System for International Students (https://admission.whu.edu.cn) to register, choose the relevant agency and major, and then submit scanned copies of the application materials before March 1st, 2025. Please note that the application item is โChinese Government Scholarshipโ. Wuhan University will organize a document review and interviews, and those who successfully pass all the assessments will receive a pre-admission letter.
2) After obtaining the pre-admission letter, please log on to the Chinese Government Scholarship System for online application (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) and submit application materials before March 31st, 2025. Please select “Type A” for the scholarship type, and the agency code is 1563. The applicant program is the “Youth of Excellence Scheme of China”.
3) The China Scholarship Council (CSC) will review materials submitted by applicants and arrange for expert review. The final results will be announced by CSC after the assessment.
