Tell Me About The Humboldt Foundation International Climate Protection Fellowship:
The International Climate Protection Fellowship, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, supports prospective leaders and postdocs working in climate protection or climate-related resource conservation from non-European developing or transition countries. The fellowship enables participants to undertake research in Germany, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange on issues such as combating climate change, preserving ecosystems, and promoting sustainable development. Up to 15 fellowships for practitioners and 5 for postdocs are awarded annually, funded by the International Climate Initiative.

Who can Apply For The Humboldt Foundation International Climate Protection Fellowship?
Also, the eligibility criteria include:
- Be a citizen of a non-European developing or transition country and primarily living and working there.
- Engage with climate change or climate-relevant resource conservation issues.
- Demonstrate leadership experience and skills.
- Have excellent English and/or German proficiency.
For prospective leaders:
- Bachelorโs degree (or equivalent) obtained in the last 12 years.
- At least 24 months of professional experience or a Masterโs degree with 12 months of relevant professional experience.
For postdocs:
- Doctorate completed no more than four years before the application deadline or by 31 August of the selection year.
- Publications in internationally reviewed academic journals.
