The Africa Program Development Internship, offered by Search for Common Ground, provides an opportunity for students and recent graduates to support peacebuilding efforts across Africa. Interns contribute to developing impactful proposals and fundraising strategies, working alongside a diverse team to create programs for 17 African countries. The internship offers a hands-on experience in peacebuilding and international development, focusing on regions such as the Sahel, Lake Chad Basin, Great Lakes, Horn of Africa, Tanzania-Mozambique, and the Sudan.

Who can Apply For The Search for Common Ground 2025 Africa Program Development Internship?

Also, to be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in French for applicants based in Francophone Africa.
  • Demonstrated interest in peacebuilding or international development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and self-starting with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
