Italy Announces Fully-funded Master’s Degree in Italy to Drive Social Change 2025 – World House Fellowship

Italy’s Rondine Cittadella della Pace have opened up their annual scholarship opportunity for students to come to Italy and study peace & conflict studies – World House Fellowship.

Eligible Countries: Countries in Middle East, Balkans and South Caucus regions; Mali, Russia, Colombia.

About the World House Fellowship: Are you ready to meet your enemy? To learn the art of dialogue? To learn how to transform the conflict into an opportunity and generate social change? The World House is the experience that you are looking for!

Type: Training

Eligibility: Participants will be selected among candidates showing the following characteristics:

  • Ages between 21-28;
  • Sensibility and readiness to work on the topics of conflict of the country of origin and conflicts in general;
  • Interested in conflicts (personal, interpersonal, social, international)
  • Ready for active listening and team work
  • Willing to be future leaders
  • Interested in topics such as conflict transformation, communication, human rights, cooperation and global sustainability
  • Ready to tell their story and experience in public
  • Curious to live with youth having different religions and cultures
  • Willing to engage in development projects, social innovation and change

Please, note that Italian is the official language for communication and activities in Rondine. For this reason, the program starts with a 3-month intensive course of Italian language and culture. Knowledge of English is also required for a profitable participation in the Rondine training.

Value of World House Fellowship: 

The 18-month, fully funded World House Fellowship includes:
• A Master’s degree (M1) from leading Italian universities (Florence, Siena)
• High-level training in conflict resolution, leadership, peacebuilding, and project design
• Civic and community engagement activities, both in Italy and abroad
• Vibrant, shared community life on campus in Tuscany
• Support in designing and launching a social impact project after the fellowship

The fellowship covers:

  • Accommodation – Participants live in Rondine, a medieval village in Tuscany. All fellows must live in the program’s facilities normally in a shared room with another participant
  • Meals – Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered by the Rondine Locanda (Inn)
  • Master – tuition fee, transportation, meals, materials
  • Intensive Italian course
  • Expenses related to Rondine activities – transportation, meals, accommodation, materials
  • Health insurance, residence permit and registration in the Italian Health Care System

Duration of Programme: Two-year training program (July 2025 to June 2027)
