You can make a difference by participating in the Millennium Fellowship 2025, a semester-long leadership development program by the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI).

The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership program by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN). It empowers students to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through community-focused projects and structured leadership training.

Which Fields are Eligible?

Students working on projects aligned with any of the 17 SDGs and 10 UNAI principles are eligible. Projects may include sustainability, social enterprise, research, advocacy, journalism, and more.

Who Can Apply for the Millennium Fellowship?

Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized university or college.

How are Applicants Selected?

Applicants are evaluated based on:

  • Alignment of their proposed project with at least one SDG and one UNAI principle.
  • Potential for measurable social impact.
  • Leadership and collaboration potential.

Which Countries Are Eligible?
Open to students from all countries worldwide.

Where will the Award be Taken?
Participants will work in campus-based hubs at their respective universities or colleges.

How Many Awards?
There is no set limit; cohorts consist of 8–20+ Fellows per campus hub, and multiple hubs are supported globally.

What is the Benefit of the Award?

  • Leadership training via the MCN Action Toolkit.
  • Certification of recognition from UNAI and MCN upon program completion.
  • Membership in a global alumni network of over 11,000 changemakers.

How Long Will the Award Last?
From August to December 2025 (one semester).

How to Apply for the Millennium Fellowship:

  1. Submit Your Project Proposal: Propose a project targeting at least one SDG and one UNAI principle. Examples include launching a social enterprise, leading a campus organization, or conducting impactful research.
  2. Participate in Fellowship Activities: Engage in structured sessions to refine skills and collaborate with peers.
