Tell Me About The YouthLead Africa Lead (H)er Fellowship:
The Lead(H)er Fellowship 4th Cohort, a collaboration between YouLead Africa, Plan International, and the African Union Office of the Youth Envoy, aims to empower young women leaders in Eastern, Southern Africa, and the Middle East. Designed to nurture skills and aspirations in politics, economics/business, and peace and security, the fellowship provides a safe space for women under 25 to engage with regional and international opportunities, amplifying their local and grassroots impact. Spanning five months, the fellowship combines a physical component with a virtual learning experience to equip participants with the tools to make meaningful contributions in their fields.

Who can Apply For The YouthLead Africa Lead (H)er Fellowship?
Also, to be eligible for the fellowship, you:
- Must be a young woman not older than 25 years.
- Must be a national or resident of an eligible country (see below).
- Should have a demonstrated interest in politics, economics/business, or peace and security.
- Must be willing to commit at least 10 hours per month to the virtual program.

Applicants are also to submit the following documents:
- Completed application form (Expression of Interest).
- Proof of nationality or residency in an eligible country.
- Relevant supporting documents showcasing interest or experience in politics, economics/business, or peace and security (if applicable).
Which Countries Are Eligible?
The eligible countries include:
- Eastern Africa: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somalia.
- Southern Africa: Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
- Middle East/North Africa: Sudan, Egypt.
