Scholarships are intended for excellent tuition fee-liable students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who want to complete a Master’s programme at the University of Helsinki.

- You are eligible for the Masterโs programme at the University of Helsinki.
- You are liable for tuition fees: Citizens of non-EU/EEA countries who do not have permanent residence status in Finland are liable for tuition fees. You can check the FAQ at the Studyinfo website as to whether or not you are required to pay tuition fees.
- You meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for Finland.
- You have obtained excellent results in your previous studies and can prove this in your application.

What is the Benefit of the University of Helsinki Masters Scholarship?
Additionally, scholarship recipients will enjoy the following benefits:
- Student meal discounts at Unicafe restaurants.
- Reduced rates for public transportation.
- Access to Unisport services at low prices.
- 50% tuition fee waiver covering half of the tuition fee or 100% tuition fee waiver covering the full tuition fee.
- Scholarship duration is two years, subject to maintaining full-time studies and earning at least 55 ECTS per year.
- Scholarships are continued based on satisfactory academic progress after the first year.
