The CLEAR Project is implemented by the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) in collaboration with the Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC, Ghana), Dodowa Health Research Centre (DHRC, Ghana), Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST, Ghana), Montana State University (MSU, USA), Columbia University (CU, USA), and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS, USA).

This training programme will leverage robust health and demographic surveillance systems (HDSS) and pregnancy cohort data to explore the impacts of climate change on morbidity and mortality in Ghana. The scholarship provides full support for university fees and covers analytic and fieldwork-related expenses for up to two years (2025โ2026).

Who Can Apply for the CLEAR Project PhD Scholarship Programme?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a second or third-year PhD student at a recognized Ghanaian university with good academic performance.
2. Demonstrate interest and aptitude in climate and health research.
3. Obtain a letter of commitment from their academic supervisor.
4. Show familiarity with Python and R programming languages
