The AWARD Leadership Program for Emerging African Women in Agricultural Sciences is a nine-month, virtual, career-transformative program aimed at equipping young African women scientists with the skills, confidence, and influence to excel in agricultural sciences, leadership roles, and gender integration in agriculture. It is funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY) and implemented under the Global Forum of Women in Scientific Research (GoFoWiSeR).

Who can Apply For The AWARD Leadership Program for African Women?

Also, the eligibility criteria include: 

• Must be aged 35 years or younger at the time of application.
• Must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an agricultural science discipline from a recognised university.
• Must have a minimum of five years of agricultural sector experience.
• Must be a citizen of Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, or Malawi.
• Must reside in Africa and be actively engaged in agriculture-related professional work.
• Must not have previously been an AWARD Fellow or Laureate.

• Demonstrated leadership potential in agricultural sciences.
