  • Maintenance Allowance: ยฃ19,237 annually (2024/25 rate; subject to 2025 updates).
  • Additional funding for:

    • Overseas fieldwork essential to the research program.
    • Research Training Support Grant.

How Long Will the Award Last?

  • Three years (1 October 2025 โ€“ 30 September 2028).

How to Apply for the DAERA fully-funded postgraduate studentship:

  • When applying for a DAERA postgraduate studentship, you must include a unique research proposal supported by at least one supervisor from the proposed study centre.
  • You must also send an academic reference from the institution of your primary degree and the offer of a place at the proposed university, supporting your research proposal.
  • Applications must be submitted by midnight on Tuesday 25 February 2025.
