For students who excel academically, the University of Birmingham is offering the KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship in collaboration with Kaplan International College London (KICL). Non-EU international students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the fields of arts and law, life and environmental sciences, nursing and physiotherapy, pharmacy, and social sciences are eligible for this esteemed opportunity. Three outstanding students who start at the university in September 2025 will receive a ยฃ5,000 reward as part of the scholarship.

The University of Birmingham, in collaboration with Kaplan International College London (KICL), offers the KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship. This prestigious ยฃ5,000 scholarship is awarded to three outstanding non-EU international students pursuing undergraduate studies in select fields at the University of Birmingham.

Note: Students in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Medicine, and Dental Surgery are not eligible for this scholarship.

Who can Apply?

Non-EU international students meeting the following criteria:

  • Enrolled in a foundation course at KICL during the 2024/25 academic year.
  • Received an offer and chosen the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for an undergraduate program starting in September 2025.
  • Meet academic conditions and are classed as overseas fee payers.
  • Financially capable of covering living costs, travel, and visa expenses.
  • Prepared to pay net tuition fees by November 1, 2025.

Note: Scholarship is non-deferrable and limited to students entering their first year at the UK campus.

How are Applicants Selected?

KICL and the University of Birmingham will jointly identify the top three academic achievers among eligible candidates. Selected students will need to accept the scholarship terms and commit to promotional activities, including blogging, testimonials, and assisting with student visits.

How to Apply for the KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Foundation Scholarship:

No application is necessary.

KICL and the University of Birmingham will jointly identify the three highest-achieving students who meet the eligibility requirements. Nominated students will be asked to complete a form to accept the award and agree to participate in activities that jointly promote the University of Birmingham and Kaplan pathways. If the nominated student declines the terms, the next highest-achieving student will be offered the award.

The full Scholarship will be award upon enrolment of the student on their programme in September 2025 and will be deducted from the first-year tuition fees only.

Only the successful scholarship awardee will be notified of the outcome.
