Tell Me About The SDSN Local Pathways Remote Fellowship Program:
The Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF) 2025 Cohort, launched by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Initiative (SDSN Youth), is a 10-month program designed to empower young urban leaders worldwide. The fellowship equips participants with knowledge, resources, and a global platform to address urban challenges and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11). Through training, mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning, fellows develop innovative projects that drive sustainable urban transformation in their cities while being part of a global network of over 550 fellows from 180 cities across 80 countries.

Who can Apply For The SDSN Local Pathways Remote Fellowship Program?
Additionally, interested applicants must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be aged 18-30.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainable development and the mission of SDSN and SDSN Youth.
- Strong knowledge or experience in urban planning, urban sustainability, urban tech, community engagement, advocacy, or related fields.
- At least one year of academic or professional experience in relevant fields.
- Excellent English language skills (writing, speaking, listening) and proficiency in the local language of their city.
- Ability to manage regular communication across time zones.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a team-player attitude.
- Access to a consistent and stable internet connection.
- Demonstrated commitment of 4-6 hours per week for the program duration.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Alignment of applicant’s goals with the mission of SDSN Youth and SDG 11.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in urban planning, sustainability, or related fields.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fulfilling program requirements and deliverables.
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to the global network of fellows
