The Global Fellowship Scheme is designed to foster international academic collaboration and innovation by bringing scholars to engage with the University of St Andrews’ world-class academic community.
Global Fellows are expected to contribute to the scholarly community at St Andrews. This includes interacting with a wide range of staff and students, and participating in the scholarly activities of Academic Schools, Centres and Institutes, both virtually and in person throughout the 2025-2026 academic year.
Global Fellows will normally give a research seminar, postgraduate lecture, undergraduate training activity or similar during their visit.
For applicants who would be otherwise unable to visit in person due to caring commitments or other similar responsibilities, a fully virtual Global Fellowship may be considered. A shorter visit may also be arranged to support those unable to visit for an extended period.
Applications are open to all academic fields, provided there is alignment with a prospective host School at the University of St Andrews.
