The McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional studies at McGill University. Established in 2019, this full graduate scholarship is designed to equip scholars with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to drive meaningful change. Beyond financial support, the program emphasises leadership development, community building, and fostering the skills required to tackle complex challenges. Scholars join a diverse cohort of like-minded individuals and participate in workshops, retreats, and seminars that encourage personal growth, innovation, and collaboration.

Which Fields are Eligible?

The scholarship is open to applicants pursuing full-time master’s degrees or second-entry professional undergraduate programs at McGill University, including:

  • Master’s Degrees: Arts (MA), Architecture (MArch), Business Administration (MBA), Education (MEd), Engineering (MEng), Public Policy (MPP), Social Work (MSW), Urban Planning (MUP), and more.
  • Second-Entry Professional Undergraduate Degrees: Law (BCL/JD), Dentistry (DMD), and Medicine (MDCM).

Graduate certificates, executive master’s programs, PhDs, and joint degree programs are not eligible.

  • 30 Finalist Awards: $10,000 for Canadians and $20,000 for international applicants.
  • 45 Regional Awards: $5,000 for Canadians and $10,000 for international applicants.
