European Union (EU) Youth Sounding Board Ghana 2025 for Young Ghanaians – Call for Applications

About the European Union (EU) Youth Sounding Board Ghana Award: Youth empowerment is a top priority for EU Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, and the EU believes that young people must be involved in shaping and implementing its external action. The Youth Sounding Board aims to create a real, fundamental, long-lasting change in how the EU engages with young people in its development cooperation.

Are you a passionate youth leader in Ghana looking for an opportunity to influence policies, share ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue? Applications are now open for the Team Europe Youth Sounding Board Ghana (YSB)!

Type: Short course

Eligibility: All candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria

• be between the age of 18-30 at the end of the application period (20 February 2025)
• be available to devote at least 25 days per year to the YSB
• have a good command of English
• hold the nationality of, or be a resident in Ghana

Eligible Countries: Ghana

To be Taken at (Country): Online. At least four meetings will take place every year – virtually and, when the situation allows, in person in the Netherlands.

Value of European Union (EU) Youth Sounding Board Ghana Award: This is an unpaid mandate. However, travel and other related expenses will be covered. 

The YSB offers a platform for 20 selected young Ghanaians (aged 18-32) to:

• Engage in dialogue on youth-related issues.
• Provide a youth perspective on the programming, monitoring, and policy drafting for the EU Delegation to Ghana and the Netherlands Embassy to Ghana.
• Collaborate in a space designed for creativity and exchange, contributing to EU and Netherlands’ work in Ghana.
