- Africa: Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Madagascar, Mali, Namibia, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda.
- Asia: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Mongolia, Myanmar, North Korea, Philippines, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
- Europe and Central Asia: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine.
- Middle East: Palestine.
- Others: Republic of Cabo Verde.
How Are Applicants Selected?
Selection is conducted in two phases:
- Phase 1:
- FAO pre-screens applications and submits complete dossiers to Hungaryโs Ministry of Agriculture.
- Phase 2:
- Universities conduct written or oral English exams, evaluate applicants, and make the final selections.
- Criteria:
- Citizenship and residency in an eligible country.
- Strong academic record.
- English proficiency (for English-taught courses).
- Demonstrated motivation.
- Good health.
- Preference for candidates under 30 years old.
