Tell Me About Award:

AIIDEV Africa has launched the 2025 cohort of the Teach4SDGs program, aimed at promoting sustainable development and educating future generations about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Teach4SDGs program is an initiative designed to equip primary and secondary school teachers across Africa with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for transformative actions towards sustainable development. By integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into teaching practices, Teach4SDGs aligns with SDG Target 4.7, which aims to ensure all learners acquire the skills needed to promote sustainable development by 2030.

The goal of Teach4SDGs is to build the knowledge and competency of K-12 educators in delivering transformative SDG-based education in Africa. The programme aims to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively teach their students about the SDGs, and support the integration of the SDGs into the existing curriculum, thus impacting the behavior and social-emotional well-being of individual learners and the wider society.

We believe through this transformative programme, educators would become mentors who guide learners through the lifelong learning process, as well as expert builders and transmitters of knowledge for a sustainable future.
