The Carbon Sequestration Fellowships 2025, offered by the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, provide MSc and PhD students with a 4-month scientific internship focused on soil organic carbon sequestration. The fellowship aims to develop innovative approaches to enhance carbon storage in tropical soils, specifically by improving the deep-rooting ability of tropical forage grasses and rice genotypes. Fellows will conduct field and laboratory research at the Allianceโs facilities in Palmira, Colombia, or Nairobi, Kenya, working alongside leading scientists. - In the programโs third round, 10 MSc and PhD students will receive funding ranging from USD 10,000 to 12,000 to cover living costs during the internship.
