Université Paris-Saclay offers the IDEX Master Scholarship, which aims to promote access for international students to its Master’s programs, offered by its faculties, component institutions, and associated universities, and to make it easier for highly qualified international students to join the university, especially for those wishing to develop an academic project through research up to the doctoral level.

When is the Application Deadline?

  • May 5, 2025 – Deadline for programme coordinators to select candidates.
  • May 9, 2025 – Deadline for selected students to apply for the scholarship.
  • May 12, 2025 – Last day for referees to submit recommendation letters.
  • Late June 2025 – Announcement of final scholarship results.

Who can Apply for the IDEX Master Scholarship?

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • International students admitted to a Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay.
  • Must be under 30 years old during the selection year.
  • First-time students in France (except those in non-degree training courses or language classes).
  • Students who have lived in France for less than a year for academic mobility programmes (e.g., Erasmus Mundus) without earning a French degree.
  • Must not have been previously enrolled in a French higher education degree programme.

How are Applicants Selected?

Selection is based on:

  • Academic excellence and achievements.
  • Motivation and personal project.
  • Research potential, especially for students aiming to pursue a PhD.
  • Evaluation by a jury of experts from Paris-Saclay University.

How to Apply for the IDEX Master Scholarship:

  1. Apply for a Master’s Programme at Université Paris-Saclay.
  2. Get Selected – Only students shortlisted by programme coordinators will receive an invitation to apply for the scholarship.
  3. Receive the Scholarship Application Email – Selected students will get a link to an online form.
  4. Submit Required Documents – Provide names and contact details of two academic referees.
  5. Referees Submit Recommendation Letters – Referees will receive an email link to submit their recommendations.
  6. Final Selection – Applications with both recommendation letters will be evaluated by the jury.
  7. Scholarship Results Announced in Late June 2025.
