- Have a Bachelor’s degree in any physical or life science or engineering discipline, such as meteorology, physics, biology, agronomy, environmental science, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering.

- Have some programming experience (any language).
- Be motivated to contribute to sustainability efforts in agriculture and climate.
- Be willing to conduct fieldwork during the summer at a nearby experiment site.
- Be open to mentoring undergraduates and participating in one semester of teaching an introductory agronomy or meteorology class.
