Job Summary:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Lead Pillar for Inclusive Governance and Peacebuilding, the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Analyst will provide technical and related strategic programmatic support to CO programme/projects.
  • He/she advises the country office senior management on development and implementation of the Programme/Projects, cost effectiveness and responses to emerging complex challenges in managing the Programme.
  • He/she in supporting UNDP’s efforts to advance the WPS agenda, ensure that the voices of Sudanese women are heard in the pursuit of a just and sustainable peace and ensuring that the needs and perspectives of women are central to all peacebuilding and humanitarian efforts in Sudan.
  • He/she will provide specialized guidance on gender-sensitive approaches to peacebuilding initiatives, analyze trends and vulnerabilities, and facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders to advocate for women’s rights and empowerment.
  • He/she works closely with internal and external counterparts, including government counterparts, development partners, NGOs, civil society, private sector etc., to successfully deliver UNDP Programmes.

Job Summary:

  • Reporting to the Humanitarian Specialist, the Gender in Humanitarian Action Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in Uganda by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provides technical support to the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF) secretariat in Uganda on gender mainstreaming the CRRF and the refugee response in Uganda.
  • As part of this support to the CRRF the Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with CRRF Director based in the OPM in Uganda and aligns their workplan to the CRRF roadmap.
  • The Programme Analyst will also work closely with the UN Women Uganda programme and operations team, UN Women HQ personnel, Government officials, multi and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful implementation of the UN Women programme.

Job Summary:

The Associate Change Management  Officer provides support and assistance to the Director of Strategic Positioning and Change in the day-to-day management and coordination of Agency-wide strategic change initiatives. This encompasses a variety of functions and tasks, including supporting change management vision and direction; intra-agency coordination; project management; internal stakeholder engagement; and advocacy and external stakeholder engagement.

A. Coordination (40%):
•    Supports the effective and efficient coordination of change management initiatives in the Agency, ensuring all change initiatives are in line with overall strategic direction and are implemented on schedule.
•    Acts as secretariat to and contribute to specific Agency working groups or taskforces established to oversee development and implementation of change initiatives. As requested, support specific departments within the Agency on implementation of change-related actions.
•    Undertakes research on specific change related areas with the aim of supporting the Agency in undertaking initiatives that are in line with global best practice.

B. Project Management (30%):
•    Monitors overall implementation progress of change initiatives in the Agency, taking necessary action and supporting decision-making to improve performance;
•    Develops monitoring and reporting frameworks for implementation and oversight of Agency change initiatives.
•    Develops and supports oversight of change initiative budget.
•    Supports development of risk management and resistance management tools related to change management.

C. Communications (30%):
•    Develops and implements communication strategies linked to overall Agency change management strategies and workplans.
•    Develops specific and targeted internal communications activity to ensure greater understanding and buy-in from staff on change initiatives.
•    In cooperation with the External Relations and Communications Department supports development of external communications and advocacy material related to communications.
•    Leads on all internal and external reporting requirements related to UNRWA change initiatives.

Job Summary:

  • The Junior Professional Officer will assist the Department of Gender, Rights and Equity under the direct supervision of the Senior Technical Lead (Gender), and overall oversight of the Director, Department of Gender, Rights, Equity and Diversity
  • Provide support for implementation of the gender marker into WHO’s accountability mechanisms.
  • Contribute to the development of capacity strengthening materials and sessions, and other mainstreaming initiatives on gender equality and health within WHO.
  • Provide logistical, technical and coordination support to gender focused events organised by WHO
  • Provide technical inputs and coordination support for technical products on gender and health produced by the GRE department, including but not limited to, updates to gender mainstreaming technical guidance; women’s health initiatives in the context of the Beijing Platform for Action; gender equality and health indicators; and the health of trans and gender diverse people.
  • Coordinate and draft inputs for briefing notes, fundraising proposals, and communication materials related to gender equality and health.
  • Maintain a database of diverse gender equality and health experts and civil society organisations, and a roster of potential gender equality and health experts from all WHO regions.
  • Provide coordination support to the annual reporting on the UNSWAP on gender equality and women’s empowerment and biannual WHA Resolution 60.25 reporting.
  • Provide support to WHO’s engagement with UN mechanisms that are relevant to gender equality and health, including, amongst others, the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the Interagency Network on Women and Gender Equality (IANWGE), and the Gender and Health Policy Hub, coordinated by the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH).
  • Provide other technical and coordination support to the implementation of the GRE gender work plan and related resource mobilisation efforts, as required the supervisor.
