The NEW UI GREAT Scholarship is offered by Universitas Indonesia to support international students pursuing a master’s degree in Indonesia. Who can Apply for the Universitas Indonesia Great Scholarships?
Also, to be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a non-Indonesian citizen.
- Apply for a master’s degree at Universitas Indonesia.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree and provide an academic transcript in English or Bahasa.
- Not already have a master’s degree.
- Meet both UI Degree admission and NEW UI GREAT Scholarship requirements.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 while studying at UI.
- Not be enrolled at any other university in Indonesia.
- Not register at any other university/institution in Indonesia before completing their studies at UI.
How are Applicants Selected?
Applicants will be selected based on:
- Meeting the admission requirements of Universitas Indonesia.
- Submitting all required documents within the deadline.
- English and/or Bahasa Indonesia language proficiency.
- Performance in the interview selection (scheduled between April 7 – April 11, 2025).

- NEW UI GREAT Letter of Statement.
- Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy (free format).
- Scanned Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript (in English or Bahasa).
- Proof of payment of the admission registration fee (USD 100).

What is the Benefit of the Universitas Indonesia Great Scholarships?
Additionally, the benefits include:
- Full tuition fee waiver (for up to 4 semesters).
- Student visa application, VITAS, and stay permit costs (covered only once).
- Return ticket allowance for economy class (up to IDR 10,000,000, split into IDR 5,000,000 for departure and return).
- Settlement cost allowance (IDR 1,500,000, one-time payment).
- Health insurance allowance (up to IDR 400,000 per month).
- Living allowance (IDR 3,500,000 per month, including accommodation).
Note: Scholarship benefits are provided only after the recipient arrives in Indonesia.
