The 2025 Storytelling with Data Fellowship, hosted by Equal Measures 2030 (EM2030), supports gender advocates in transforming gender data into powerful narratives that drive policy change and advocacy. The fellowship recognizes the vital role of feminist movements in advancing gender equality and aims to equip them with the tools and skills to use data as an advocacy tool. By combining storytelling with insights from the 2024 SDG Gender Index, fellows will create engaging content such as blogs, videos, podcasts, and infographics to amplify gender-related issues and push for tangible change.

Who can Apply For the Storytelling with Data Fellowship?

Also, to be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Applicants must be gender advocates, activists, storytellers, journalists, or media professionals who are passionate about using data to advance gender equality.
  • Open to individuals from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Asia, and Africa.
  • Must have an interest in storytelling through various formats such as blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics, or creative content.
  • Able to commit 5-8 hours per week over the fellowship duration.

  • Fellows will receive a stipend of $500, paid in two installments:
  • 50% upon onboarding at the start of the fellowship.
  • 50% upon successful submission of final storytelling outputs.
  • Training in data-driven storytelling techniques.
  • One-on-one mentorship from experts in storytelling, advocacy, and gender data.
  • Access to the 2024 SDG Gender Index and guidance on translating data into actionable narratives.
  • Publication and amplification of fellows’ work across EM2030’s platforms, advocacy reports, and campaigns.
  • Networking opportunities with other feminist storytellers and advocates.
