The ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Program is designed for young graduates who wish to pursue an intense, pre-PhD study program in physics, mathematics, or related fields. The program offers talented students from developing countries an opportunity to prepare for PhD studies, with many of its graduates advancing to prestigious universities and scientific institutions worldwide. The program has been running since 1991, with numerous alumni contributing to research and teaching in their home countries. The program is tuition-free and offers scholarships and travel grants to successful candidates from developing countries.
