The TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship is a fully funded program designed to support academically outstanding and community-driven students at Gulu University. This scholarship, implemented through RUFORUM, covers all educational and living expenses, including tuition fees, research costs, workshop and conference fees, a living stipend, hostel accommodation, a laptop, internship and field attachments, community engagement activities, and entrepreneurship training. The program aims to develop high-achieving, engaged, and transformative graduates who will contribute to community outreach, create job opportunities, and drive positive societal change.

- Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering

Postgraduate Programs:
- Master of Science in Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management
- Master of Science in Agri-Enterprises Development
- Master of Science in Food Security and Community Nutrition

Who can Apply for the Gulu University Scholarships?
Also, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Scholarships are open to candidates in Uganda from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Candidates from conflict and post-conflict areas of Africa residing in Uganda are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be eligible for admission into undergraduate or postgraduate programs at Gulu University.
- All applicants must read and understand the admission criteria for their chosen program at Gulu University.
- Students already receiving another scholarship are not eligible for this opportunity.
- Anyone found with a double scholarship will automatically be discontinued.
- Former beneficiaries of the TAGDev Scholarship are not eligible to apply.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Be a national of Uganda and East African countries implementing the common East Africa Higher Education Protocol (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan).
- Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, and/or coming from conflict and post-conflict areas in Uganda.
- Be less than 30 years for undergraduate and less than 35 years for masters studies at the time of this call.
- You should have completed secondary school and/ or a diploma for a bachelor’s degree application no more than two years from the time of this call. Refugees and internally displaced persons, should have completed their studies at the previous level at most four years before.
- The applicant should meet admission criteria to the eligible Programs at Gulu University.
- Demonstrate interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Have a commitment to working in agriculture and agricultural value chains
- Have a strong commitment to community transformation
- Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Certified copies of academic documents (O- and A-Level Certificates, Diploma, or Degree Transcript and Certificate).
- Proof of English proficiency (for applicants from non-English-speaking countries).
- Equivalency documents from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) or National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) for foreign qualifications.

The application process is in two stages:
1. Apply for Admission to Gulu University
- Visit the Gulu University application portal: http://apply.gu.ac.ug
- Register with an email or mobile number and follow the prompts.
- Log in and submit your application for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship 2025.
- Upload certified academic documents in PDF format (each file not exceeding 1MB).
2. Apply for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship via RUFORUM
- Access the RUFORUM Information Management System (RIMS): https://rims2.ruforum.org/
- Register and activate your account.
- Log in and go to Calls → Scholarship Calls.
- Select Call ID: RU/2025GuluUniv./TAGDEV2.0 and click Apply.
- Fill in the application form, save drafts, and submit.
- Print the completed form and attach it to your Gulu University application.
