Tell Me About The Award:
The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program is a six-week professional learning opportunity for international secondary-level educators. Participants engage in academic seminars, observe and co-teach in U.S. classrooms, and collaborate with educators and students to exchange best practices. The program also includes civic and cultural activities to foster mutual understanding.

Who Can Apply?
Full-time secondary-level educators from participating countries who:
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrate English language proficiency
- Are able to travel to the U.S. for six weeks
How Are Applicants Selected?
Applicants are selected through an open competition and reviewed by U.S. Embassies and/or Fulbright Commissions based on evaluation criteria. Preference is given to applicants who:
- Have not previously participated in another Fulbright program
- Have not had significant previous professional experience abroad in the last five years (study, teaching, research, or employment)
Final selections are approved by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
