Tell Me About The Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship:
The Legacy and Nurturing Hearts Scholarships are financial aid programs designed to support less privileged yet academically excellent students pursuing higher education in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Established by the foundation, the Legacy Scholarship has been awarded since 2008 to indigent students in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The Nurturing Hearts Scholarship, newly introduced in honor of Rev. Mrs. Adeyinka Badejo, aims to assist young females aged 18 – 28 with a passion for children’s ministry work.

Who can Apply for the Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship?
Also, to be eligible, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must come from a less privileged background, as evidenced by providing a short personal statement on background.
- Academic & Personal excellence: Applicants must have a strong academic record and also possess a demonstrated good character that can be readily verified.
- Enrollment status: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited public tertiary institution (Note: Students in private tertiary institutions are not eligible).
- Previous beneficiaries: Individuals who have received at least two scholarships from our foundation in the past are not eligible to reapply to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.
- Multiple Applications: Applicants may apply for both the Legacy and the Nurturing Hearts scholarships. However, if selected, the applicant can receive only one scholarship award.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Applications will be screened for financial need, academic excellence, and character.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 for students already enrolled in a tertiary institution.
- A letter of recommendation is required from a cleric, Head of Department, Course Adviser, or Dean of Students

- Personal statement demonstrating financial need.
- JAMB admission letter (for newly admitted students).
- GPA transcript (for current students).
- Letter(s) of recommendation (from specified individuals).
