The Women at Microsoft (WAM) Scholarship is a one-time award designed to empower women high school seniors pursuing a career in technology. It offers $5,000 to 26 recipients, aiming to encourage diversity in the tech industry by supporting students planning to major in technology-related fields at accredited institutions in the United States. The scholarship emphasizes leadership, academic performance, and community involvement.

Who can Apply for the Microsoft Scholarship for Women?
Applicants to the Women at Microsoft scholarship must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Self-identify as a woman.
- Plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, math, or computer science-related undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school, in the United States, for the entire upcoming academic year. (International applicants are welcome to apply if they will attend school in the United States.)
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent
How are Applicants Selected?
The program will use criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
