- Applicants must be international students who will study at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
- Applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and strong extracurricular involvement.
- For the International Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES), applicants must not be nominated for the need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
- For the Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award, applicants must not be nominated for the need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
How are Applicants Selected?
Applicants are evaluated based on their academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community engagement. The selection is competitive, with scholarship evaluations happening after admission decisions are made. Recipients will be notified by mid-March to the end of April.
