Tell Me About The MTN Scholarships For Nigerian Undergraduates:
The MTN Foundation established the MTN Scholarships Program in 2010 as an annual initiative to recognize and support high-performing students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions. The program awards scholarships under three categories:
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS): for 300-level students studying Science & Technology-related courses.
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS): for 200 & 300-level blind students studying any course.
- Top 10 UTME Scholarship: for the ten highest-scoring candidates in the UTME.

Who can Apply for the MTN Scholarships For Nigerian Undergraduates?
The eligibility criteria include:
- Applicants must be Nigerian students enrolled in public tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
- MTN STS: Open to 300-level students in Science & Technology-related courses.
- MTN SBS: Open to 200 & 300-level blind students studying any course.
- For blind students studying Law (a five-year course), only 300-level students are eligible.
How are Applicants Selected?
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- Public University and College of Education students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (Second Class Upper Credit).
- Polytechnic students must have at least 3.0 CGPA (Upper Credit) in OND and must have secured admission into an HND program.
- Direct entry students must have at least 3.0 CGPA (Upper Credit) in OND and must have secured admission into the 300 level in a Public University.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Blind students in Universities or Colleges of Education must have at least 2.5 CGPA.
- Blind students in Polytechnics must have at least 2.0 CGPA in OND and must have secured admission into an HND program.
