Scholarships for research stays at Taiwanese universities are now available to students looking for a rewarding academic experience overseas. This scholarship program, which is supported by Austria’s Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF), helps diploma and master’s students who want to further their education in the fields of natural sciences, technical sciences, health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and the arts.

  • Those taking exams (minimum 5 ECTS credits in the final semester) or conducting research.
  • No age limit, but intended for young researchers advancing their academic careers.
  • The scholarship is awarded only once per applicant and cannot be extended.

Selection is based on academic merit, research proposal quality, and recommendation letters from university lecturers. A written confirmation of supervision from a Taiwanese host institution is required.
