The Eric Bleumink Fellowship is a scholarship awarded to candidates from eligible countries who have been admitted to a master’s program at the University of Groningen. This fellowship covers the full cost of tuition, international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance for the duration of the program. The University of Groningen can issue only a limited number of grants, and a considerable number of students apply each year.

Who can Apply for the Eric Bleumink Masters Fellowship?
Also, the eligibility criteria include:
- Have received provisional or unconditional admission for a master’s programme before February. Only then will applicants be considered for a grant from the Eric Bleumink Fellowship(see: Master’s degree programmes )
- Have excellent academic performance, preferably to be confirmed by letters of recommendation
- Have excellent grades during their bachelor/undergraduate studies;
- Have excellent English language proficiency, in accordance with the admission requirements of the program of choice
- Be available for the whole period of the programme and be able to take part in the entire programme
- Be in good health, so that health insurance in the Netherlands can be arranged.
- Hold the nationality of a country appearing in Appendix 1.
- Have no other means of financing the study in question
How are Applicants Selected?
Applicants will be selected based on the following:
- Excellent academic performance as demonstrated by grades and letters of recommendation.
- Meeting all program and language requirements.
- Availability and health to fully participate in the program.
- The University’s Admission Office, in consultation with the Admission Boards, determines the selection of candidates.

Applicants cannot apply directly for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship. The University of Groningen will nominate suitable candidates from those who have received provisional or unconditional admission for a master’s program.
