Who can Apply for the Mkpouto Pius Foundation WomanUp Scholarship Programme?

To be eligible for the WomanUp Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be female
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen
  • Must have recently gained admission into a Nigerian public university (for first-year students only)
  • Must demonstrate academic excellence
  • Must show financial need
  • Must be willing to submit monthly reports and attend monthly check-in sessions
  • Must participate in mentoring events
  • Must be ready to engage in career development activities such as conferences, fellowships, and academic publishing

How are Applicants Selected?

Applicants will be selected based on academic excellence, financial need, and commitment to the program’s requirements. Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in an online interview to verify their suitability for the scholarship.
