The Graduate Institute of International Development, Agriculture and Economics (GIIDAE) has a diverse range of scholarships available, both those offered by the School; by the University; and by organisations outside of the University. These are offered to enable students to pursue their studies here at Reading. Application Deadline: 1st July 2023 To be taken at (country): UK About the Award: The Graduate Institute of International Development, Agriculture and Economics (GIIDAE) has Scholarship funding available for 2023-24 academic year to students world-wide. Our GIIDAE scholarships offer funding to assist students in their studies as they pursue a variety of careers that encompass numerous global challenges such as: food production, security, and health; sustainability of agro-ecosystems; climate change, animal welfare and behaviour; poverty alleviation; social development, international development; consumer behaviour and choice. All GIIDAE scholarships These scholarships are open to applicants worldwide who have received an offer to study in one of GIIDAE's programmes. Applications will be accepted until the final eligibility date, as listed for each scholarship. Applications from eligible candidates will be considered throughout the award period. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as applications are assessed and scholarships awarded to eligible applicants as they are received. The average turnaround for a decision on an application is approximately three weeks. Please note. Hundreds of applicants are competing for a limited number of awards that are subject to availability. If all the funding is allocated before the final eligibility date, we will post a notice to this effect on this website and through our social media accounts. GIIDAE Empowering Change Scholarship The Empowering Change Scholarship is awarded to a number of scholars who have demonstrated their suitability for the scholarship and have a track record of outstanding academic achievement. The scholarship provides £5,000 to contribute towards living expenses and £5,000 in tuition fees reduction making this scholarship package worth a total of £10,000. This scholarship is designed to support well-rounded students from a World Bank low or medium income country who seeks to create socio-economic change, using what they have learned through their postgraduate studies with GIIDAE. GIIDAE Alumni Scholarship The GIIDAE International Scholarship is available to University of Reading Alumni who are looking to study a Master’s programme with the Graduate Institute of International Development, Agriculture and Economics (GIIDAE). The scholarship is made up of a number of scholarships worth £1,000 each and is open to University of Alumni who are studying on any of GIIDAE’s programmes. This Scholarship may be held in addition to the University of Reading Alumni Discount. GIIDAEScholarship Alumni– final eligibility date: Tuesday 1 August 2023. GIIDAE scholarships by country GIIDAE Scholarships are open now. Applications will be accepted until the final eligibility date (listed for each scholarship). The Scholarships are open to applicants worldwide who have received an offer to study in one of GIIDAE’s programmes. Applications for all of the GIIDAE Scholarships will be assessed upon receipt of the individual applications, with a turnaround of approximately three weeks.
